THE WESTMINSTER CONFESSION OF FAITH

The Confession of Faith of the Westminster Assembly was approved by the general assembly of the Church of Scotland on August 27, 1647, and (together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms) has served as one of the doctrinal standards, subordinate to the Word of God, for Presbyterian churches since that time.
